Questions answered

Before you apply

Why is membership by application?
The room only works if everyone in it is committed. The application keeps the signal-to-noise ratio high and ensures office hours, prompts, and 1-on-1 sessions stay valuable. Reviews take 24 hours.
Do I need to read music?
No. Vol. 1 starts at the fretboard. Notation is introduced in Vol. 3. By Vol. 6 you'll read well enough to chart a session. We meet you where you are.
What gear do I need?
A bass — four, five, or six string. A tuner. A metronome app. A way to record yourself, even a phone. That's the minimum. Recommendations for upgrades come in Vol. 2.
Can I skip ahead?
No. Each volume builds on the last. We grade the final before the next volume unlocks. This is the part that works.
Who teaches the courses?
Working bassists with full session and touring resumes. Marcus Gray runs Fundamentals. Lisbet Faro runs Harmony. Three more instructors handle technique and genre deep-dives.
What's in the Fundamentals Vault box?
A brushed dark chrome case with LEC-engraved picks, a printed practice journal, a fret map poster, and a physical key card with your member number etched on it. Ships at signup.
Refunds?
Cancel any time after the first complete volume. We won't keep your money if the room isn't right for you.
